Stop. Pause. Look up from your screen and look around. In your own unique universe, you are surrounded by tiny impossibilities in every moment.
The device you're reading this off was once just an idea. The clothes you are wearing and the food you are eating at some point in history weren't even dreamed of. Your existence, and the existence of all of us had such a high improbability to occur that we are ourselves are living proof of the impossible.

Contemplating this can almost drive you crazy. It took me 18 days of wondering, questioning, asking those around me, to even start this article. You could even say it's impossible to consider the impossible. Eventually, like Cady in Mean Girls, I realised that the limit does not exist.
Take height for instance. Once upon a time, the highest you could go was by climbing the natural landscape. Then the Wright Brothers invented the airplane and the new limit was the sky. But we went further. Today we look at space travel and it is truly limitless.
The solution then is not to look at generally held ‘impossibilities’ but at yourself.
Where are your boundaries?
Where are your limits?
What are the things you imagine and think about but never actually do, whether because of your own doubt or the doubt of those around you?
This isn’t just about identifying your fears and confronting them, but looking deeply inwards to discover what inhibits you and why. Before you can begin to accomplish what you or others find impossible, you need to first define it for yourself. This can be on a small or large scale. For example, many people would say waking up at 5 am most mornings is impossible. Of course, everyone knows that this is actually possible to do if you really feel like it. Many people say that solo female travel is impossible in our world today, yet if we consider the risks and are smart in how we travel, women like Sarah Connor have shown it’s more than possible.
So go inward and discover your limits.
As you begin to step towards them, they’re going to step back, day by day, moment by moment. Until one day you wake up, look back a few months or years, and realise that the action or the solution, or the challenge you thought was impossible is not only now possible, but experienced.
