A Musician's Dream

"Really simply, I'm a musician.

At one point in my life, I was feeling useless and worthless with my abilities and felt as if I would never become what I would call a "successful" musician.

I was really close to giving it up all together and just dropping it completely.

If I wasn't not going to be successful, I didn't want to hear of anyone else's successes. You know that really jealous, horrible mentality. And I was like that for weeks. And then I sat down and a song came on and I just thought "I really miss this". Then I sat down and wrote a song and it was good…

As this was going on, I had remembered that my goal during the year was to get featured on an indi Youtube blog called Ambient. Through all this misery and self-doubt, I somehow managed to pull through and had my song posted on there in October 2017.

Going from being on the verge of almost giving up on my musical dream and never touching an instrument again to loving my craft in a span of 2 months was something that showed me that nothing is "impossible" and out of reach. Most things are possible, it's just about the mindset. Had I been more positive, I probably would have ended up on that blog sooner!"

To other musicians, if you're stuck in that rut, in that low place where your dreams seem impossible, Nadav recommends doing something spontaneous

"If you have a song and you don't really like it, do something spontaneous. Change the key, add a new instrument, put a loud noise in, cut out a whole bar. And from then the ideas will flow… do something to take you out of that mindset. Something spontaneous and different"
